Anime North update! La-dee-da~

OMIAGAWD I haven't posted anything in like, a month. O.o

Well, to update: Happy (Late) Halloween, everyone! Who else dressed up and went trick-or-treating? :D
Oh, yes! I can't forget to say this: someone at my school cosplayed as Yuki Cross!

It's Anime North (May 27-29) and we get a $15 discount! Yay!
If my mom agrees to let me go, I'm definitely cosplaying as Haruhi Suzumiya. I already have the headband...somewhere around here. All I need to make is the actual uniform, and my club leaders said that we'll be doing that later on in the year. So, I'm fangirling right now! *squee!*

Though my personality is more Mikuru-like, I look like Haruhi! Well, then again...not many asians have ORANGE hair.

On another note...I barely have time to watch any anime! I still haven't finished watching Durarara!!, as epic as it is. It's funny though, I'm halfway through the series and I still can't confidently tell someone the plot.

We watched a few episodes of Yu-Gi-Oh: The Abridged Series and Naruto: The Abridged Series in a couple of our Anime Club's meetings. Ah...it's hilarious. If you haven't heard "Leather Pants", I command you to look it up now! Just google "Yugioh Leather Pants" or something. It should come up.
Basically, it's a spoof of Lady Gaga's Bad Romance, except it's MUCH funnier. Make sure you watch the video, too. x]

Today we watched Higurashi. But I missed like, the first half of it! (Stupid X-Country meets...) The way they illustrate it reminds me of Future Diary. Especially the close-ups. Nevertheless, it's awesome. Go watch it. Now. :D

Er...what else? That's it, I think. I drew a picture for Halloween! It's on my dA account, so you can check that out! I think it's the...third newest deviation?

I also uploaded some DRRR!! fanfic here. The first one can also be found on dA, but the quality is better on FF.net. So, you might want to read it there instead... (Self-promotion time~! Read and Review please! Reviews make Saki-kun - that's me - happy!)

A note: I tend to talk in third person...when I get hyper. So, if you ever see "nyo" or "Saki-kun" or "Karin-chan" (though I don't use that one a lot), then...now you know what I'm saying.

Durarara!!

Okay, ever since I got high-speed internet, I've been watching anime.
Just a warning, this whole post is me fangirling about Durarara!! and Shizu-chan.
Besides the DC Movies, the one anime I've been watching is Durarara!! and I love it!

 It's hilarious. Well, I'm only on...about episode 10 right now. But I read spoilers (I COULDN'T HELP IT! I...JUST HAD TO!!!) I...feel sad. But it doesn't affect it...that much. It's okay! I still enjoy watching it! ^^

Ahaha, I love Shizu-chan. But, when I call him that, I start to wonder if I'm becoming Izaya-kun (as I've become much more sadistic ever since I saw his episode. Derr.) Ah, who cares? I love Shizu-chan so much.

Speaking of Shizu-chan and Izaya-kun, aren't they such a cute couple? (See, this is what happens when I look for romance fics) Shizaya forever! I even wrote a one for them. But it's pretty angsty...and Izaya's dead. Umm, here's a link to it. It's called Love & Hate. Strange choice of title, right? Ah, I was never good at that.

Hmm, what else do I have to say? I think that's it. Ah, well, once I'm done my homework, I'm off to watch more episodes! And hopefully they translate the light novels too. As for the manga...my local library will get it...eventually. >_>

So...hai~!

Well, this is my blog dedicated specifically to anime and manga.
Let me get one thing straight: my life revolves around manga.
I act like manga characters, my favourite books are manga/light novels based on manga (or vice versa), I don't watch TV unless it's anime (or a crime show, but that's another story). And so on.

If manga was banned, I would die.

Anyways! Enough of the angsty stuff! Ums...I'll start with my favourites!

1. Inuyasha [My first manga. It holds a special place in my heart, and it will forever be my absolute favourite.]
2. Detective Conan [I love mysteries, so there's no doubt about this one! It may be violent at times (er...like, try ALL THE TIME! Especially the murders...my, my.) but I still adore it. Ran and Shinichi are the perfect couple!]
3. FullMetal Alchemist [Actually, FMA and DC are tied for second place. But I haven't read this one in a long time, so I'm putting DC first. Um...this was also one of my first manga, and I really loved it (ohoho, love at first sight? ...with a book.) Ed is my god.]
4. Gravitation [Yes, this is shonen-ai! Haha, I didn't become a yaoi fangirl until just this year...and Gravitation is the first shonen-ai series I read, so it ALSO holds a special place in my heart. I love the comedy, but it's also pretty deep.]
5. Ouran High School Host Club [Now this is the type of unique love story I prefer. Though...if only the canon couple was Hikaru/Haruhi, not Tamaki/Haruhi!]
6. Alice in the Country of Hearts [Yes, the spin-off of the movie released in March 2010! It's very unique, and I love how everyone carries a weapon of some sort. (BEWARE! I'm sort of a sadist and a masochist!) ^^]

Oh! Before I forget..."Mugen Kiss" means "Infinite Kiss". I wanted to use "owaranai" instead (which means "neverending") but that's also the name of a graphics site. D;
